SUMMARY ABOUT ME

I am a PhD in theoretical physics. I have worked at the Bernstein Center for Computational Neuroscience (BCCN Berlin), at the Institute of Theoretical Biology (ITB) at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, and at the Physics Department of the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. My primary interest is the mathematical modeling of biophysiological systems, especially neuronal systems. At the moment I am focussing on information transfer properties of stochastic neuron models in conjunction with different types of nonlinearities as well as the effect of positive ISI correlations on the neuron's information transfer characteristics. Additionally, in 2015 I have joined a collaborative project with the department of psychology (clinical psychology) at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin to develop and advice on scientific data analysis software used in clinical studies involving patients with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD).
